Squamish Bouldering

It's been a rainy spring in Squamish (as always), but the sun looks set to shine on another great season. After an El Nino winter, predictions are for a warm, dry summer, which is good news for local climbers. We've been spending the last couple of months bouldering between the storms, and I've just put the finishing touches on the newest edition of Squamish Bouldering, an updated guide to over 2500 local boulder problems. At 420 pages, it's a substantial book. If all goes well, it should be in the stores by mid-June.

I thought I'd post some pictures that we've taken recently for the new book. Maybe this will get you psyched for your next trip to Squamish! The best time for a traveling climber to visit is usually July and August as these are the driest months of the year. Since the boulders are primarily under the canopy of old growth forest, there is plenty of shade so the summer warmth isn't much of a problem. Plus, who wouldn't want to miss the best months for swimming in all the great local lakes! Get in touch if you want more information and enjoy the pics!
