Good cop; bad cop (or is that how it went?)
I met some of Rich Romano's old friends at the Tennessee Wall last weekend: Rob Robinson and John Bachar. These guys were climbing 5.12 when I was knee high to a grasshopper and they're still crankin' hard!!!!! Rob gave me language lessons (It's pronounced "FANG-ger" and "HAN'" cracks, you prissy Yank!) while John gave me the live betamax on Hell or Highwater (5.11b).
Textbook Bachar: high-steppin' in those trademark white pants.
My trip to the south was cut short unexpectedly; it was short but so sweet! I onsighted Fly with the Falcons (5.11b) and flashed Hell or Highwater (5.11b). It's bitterly cold in the north country! Ice climbers and pond hockey players rejoice!
