Climbing in the High Sierras

What's up?! Alex Johnson, here. I just returned home from a spontaneous two week trip to the High Sierras. I had a great trip, and climbed some amazing things, but one of my favorite highlights was bouldering in Camp 4 in Yosemite Valley. It's such a famous place with so mch history that everyone dreams about climbing there.

There are a few climbs I can think of that are on everybody’s all-time list. They’re classic climbs you always hear about and think, ‘man it would be cool to climb that someday.’ The Iron Man Traverse in Bishop being one, and The Shield in Little Rock City being another. At the top of the list sits Midnight Lightning. This is one of the most famous boulder problems in the world. It was first climbed in 1976 by Ron Kauk, and at the time, pushed the limit as one of he hardest lines around. The problem definitely lives up to all the hype.

Stay tuned, more to come!
